JT AUTO is seeking a experienced auto Technician to work with JT and couple others. We work on Asian and European vehicles. We have a client list that keeps us very busy and rarely take new customers. So what we work on typically is something we have been keeping on the road for years. Quality of work needs to be great. For all diagnosis and repairs we collaborate as needed for best practices. We write detailed cause and correction of repair. Showing our work on our invoices is important. So good notes. And double check our work before it leaves lot. Example is like doing cold cooling system pressure checks after engine work.

We do bumper to bumper repair but no body work. Write our own estimates and do not work on fleet vehicles or anybody's used cars. It is important to me that we keep the nurses and teachers and such vehicles on the road. We have moved to our new building on Dimond. Pay is negotiable. I can do hourly, hourly plus flat rate compensation, flat rate or what we come up with.

This position is not for someone wanting to learn. In need someone that is quite self sufficient in diagnosing and repairing quality vehicles with little or no oversight. Someone that can foreman, and fix cars really well, and does not want to deal with customers or employees allowing me to do that, would make us thrive.

There is a lot of great techs out there. I understand not wanting to move. We are all quite comfortable where we are at, and when we know what to expect from our employers and what kind of jobs are coming in, it can be easier than trying something new. I will tell you after my years of flat rate line tech at 2 dealers, the warranty work and drama, holy crap this is a lot easier, and much more satisfying. The cars we work on are usually within 15 years or younger. I do not take any old crap anymore that isn't straight forward and easy. And I pay hourly so that helps. But I do not like to send anything to the dealer unless there is no other choice. We are smart and can figure it out.

Our customers pretty much fix what ever we tell them it needs, and that I would say mainly comes from the trust I have built with them. I will not call oil leaks that aren't causing a drip, I will mention there is wetness and we should be keeping an eye on it. And as you know every situation is different. But we do work on cars outside of warranty and they need to be reliable, safe and repairs cost effective or I will tell them to change cars. I never slow walk someone into repairs.

I am told I am easy to get a long with. And I am very good at diagnosing and repairing cars. I hope to find someone to help keep the customers I have on the road. If we ever need more work that's easy, I just say yes. I turn away 50% of our phone calls for work because we can not handle anymore.

This would be a end career position to retirement, or until we all invest and get stupid rich. Nobody ever working with their hands for a living will ever get rich doing it. Keep that in mind. But we do live a damn good life.

Correction: I would like to talk to Technicians with some experience that want more, such as B level or expectational C level techs. If you have the desire and some experience come talk to me.
