Granite Point Resort is a family-owned business set on the waterfront that has served vacationers in the Pacific Northwest for over 100 years. We are a well-loved summer institution having some of the best lakefront access and beach in the region. Many of our guests have been coming for generations, and we strive to make each and every visit to our resort the very best of its kind for each of our guests.

This is a seasonal job, with one of the nicest settings in the State for serving fun and easy fare to serve resort guests!

As a Cook , you will be responsible for making fun and delicious food to Resort guests, in a friendly and consistently exceptional manner. Besides burgers, sandwiches, and beach/café friendly items you’ll be responsible for selling and serving snacks, ice cream, sundries, beer and wine, in a fast-paced and fun environment.

Cooking experience is required and the job can be tailored for the right individual.

As a cook, you will be responsible for executing breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus that will appeal to Resort guests, while being simple to prepare in a consistently exceptional manner. You will work with the Manager to develop the appropriate menu, and you will be responsible for executing the menu to be consistent and meet quality standards. Fare will range from a fun and easy to prepare, but good value, breakfast menuto a lunch menu of burgers, sandwiches, and beach/cafe friendly items, as well as a happy-hour and "pub-style" dinner menu.

Flexible schedules - 10 to 40 hours per week late May - September; potential additional hours off season

$16.28 - $22.00 per hour (plus tips) based on experience.

Qualifications:

· Reliable, honest, and positive attitude.

· Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

· Courteous and respectful customer service toward guests, managers, peers, and vendors in person and by phone.

· Maintain and encourage a positive and professional work environment.

· Able to work as part of a team in a busy restaurant atmosphere.

· Knowledgeable in food handling and serving.

· Ability to multitask.

· Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.

· Food handler permits required.

· Comfort with digital ticketing systems a plus

Responsibilities:

· Provide friendly and exceptional customer service.

· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, organizing, and restocking shelves and coolers.

· Ensure kitchen and surrounding kitchen areas are kept clean and in working order.

· Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition.

Preferred Experience:

· 3+ years of kitchen experience

· 2+ years of cooking experience (preferred).

Pay: $16.28 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
