Machinist- Manual Mill

Successful, 35 year old manufacturing company is in need of a qualified machinist.

This position requires an organized individual who is self-motivated.

Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling.

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to: band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.

Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions. Select and align tooling, fixtures and attachments for machining.

Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.

Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized.

Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely, and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.

Must be able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines and equipment.

Strong attention to detail.

Lift 50lbs on occasional basis.

Must be a safety conscious worker.

Minimum 1 year previous manual machining experience.
