Risk Management Coordinator Rochester, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=444+East+Main+St.+Rochester+NY+USA+14604) Association OfficeJob TypeFull-timeDescription$24 to $28/hr. and a Free Family Membership Under the supervision of the Vice President of Risk Management (VP), the Risk Management Coordinator will provide essential support to the VP and will assist with risk assessments/audits, maintain documentation, and assist with risk management strategies. The position will work closely with branches and departments and will maintain department records, research risk functions, gather data, prepare reports, and assist with department meetings. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester are conveyed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Responsible for administration and management of the YMCA Vendor, contract and certificate of Insurance (COI) files.· Conduct audits of YMCA operations focusing on member, staff, child and facility safety issues.· Liaise between departments to review insurance requirements for contracting, special events, and other insurable risks.· Work with branches on the driver approval process and management of the driver database.· Responsible for the inventory of YMCA assets that include vehicles, boats, trailers and power equipment.· Prepare data and information requested by the YMCA insurance broker as part of the renewal process.· Assist with the general insurance needs including requesting policies, COI from and for outside parties.· Maintain awareness of and conduct research and analysis regarding upcoming legislative issues.· Analyze data in terms of understanding and identifying trends, and assist with the development of effective risk control programs to mitigate exposure.· Primary contact for branch insurance support.· Review Origami incident reports and confirm all details have been provided.· Run regular Origami risk reports for the Vice President of Risk Management and YMCA Branch Executives.· Attend safety committee and maintain the minutes.· Attend required meetings, trainings and conferences.· Maintain all required certifications.· All other duties as assigned.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1-3 years of experience in risk management, insurance or related field.· Advanced computer skills, including the ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet software.· Must be highly attentive to detail and follow through, resolve problems, be aware of deadlines and organize workload to meet them.· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Excellent team builder and team player; ability to work self-directed.· Polished, professional demeanor with excellent written and spoken communication skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:· Must be able to stand or sit for the duration of the shift.· Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally.· Mobility within the building including movement from floor to floor and outside the building.Salary Description$24 to $28 per hour
