We are on the lookout for a passionate and innovative individual to spearhead the sale and distribution of our esteemed Gallo brands across On-Premise accounts. This pivotal role involves executing strategic sales and marketing plans, understanding the nuances of distributor deals, and identifying competitive pricing strategies to enhance our market presence.The ideal candidate will spend a significant portion of their time collaborating with distributor personnel, including Representatives, District Managers, and Account Managers, to implement monthly programs, address sales gaps, and secure product distribution. Your ability to make strategic decisions and pivot your approach based on the evolving business landscape will be crucial to maximizing sales opportunities for Gallo brands.A substantial part of your role will involve training and coaching distributor sales teams, analyzing market data, and ensuring pricing consistency with state brand guidelines. You will also play a vital role in recruiting efforts and motivating distributor teams through various initiatives. Coordination with the Shopper Marketing team to ensure the availability of materials for local market activation is key.We value an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to embrace change. Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
Required to travel by air and car in order to execute job functions.
Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
Required to be 21 years of age or older.
Required to Travel by air and automobile up to 25% during the course of business.
Experience demonstrating strong leadership, selling, time management, and public speaking skills.
Compensation:
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $80,190.00 - $133,700.00 / annually
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
