Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accounts Payable Specialist role for a company located in Reno. This manufacturing company is hiring to fill a full cycle Accounts Payable Specialist role, in a high volume environment. The person will match, batch, code and do check runs. Performs function of receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices. Maintaining new and existing vendor relationships. Matching invoices with purchase order and packing slip. Vendor account reconciliations and respond to vendor inquiries. Ensure expenses are charged to the proper department and make any necessary reclassification journal entries. Troubleshoot and resolve invoice discrepancies daily by working with Procurement, Receiving, Operations Manager and vendors. Prepare, coordinate signature and mail vendor checks. Prepare supporting documents for month end accounting journal entries as assigned for month-end close. Preparation of schedules and reporting and analysis as assigned. Implement Continued Improvements in A/P related areas. Other Data entry/data mining tasks as assigned.To be considered for the role candidates should have at least five years of accounts payable experience, in a high volume environment. Manufacturing experience is preferred. Strong technology skills are required. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data. Experience in handling accounts payable (AP), including managing incoming invoices and processing payments. Familiarity with check runs, including preparing, verifying, and completing payments. Competence in coding invoices, accurately categorizing expenses for financial tracking. Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting. Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry practices and financial processes. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial compliance standards. Strong communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal departments. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
