SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Program Director position will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the group home program milieu, staff and program scheduling and direct supervision of both program’s staff to ensure that the programs function fluently and according to program policy and procedures.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Collaborate referral and admission process with the Department of Children and Families and the Lead Agency under the guidance of the Director of Youth and Family Services.

Management of the program’s milieu including behavior management system.

Ability to work with youth or youth and families in a changing setting which may include transitional care and aftercare outreach.

Required to use personal vehicle, when Centerboard vehicle is not available in order to meet aftercare outreach requirements.

Develop and maintain community-based affiliations/relationships for family and program supports.

Participate as a Treatment Team member in providing in-home family visitation, supervision and training.

Manage monthly billing process, purchasing and program budgets with the Fiscal Department.

Responsible for administrative leadership to all program staffing.

Lead program staff meetings.

Review and reconcile Stoneham Staffing Agency Invoices. Report reconciled invoices with the Director of Fiscal.

Oversight of programmatic and structural systems of the programs.

Work with the Director of Youth Services and Assistant Director of Youth Services and HR to ensure that all staff receive mandated trainings and are appropriately certified and licensed.

Participate in staffing recruitment and hiring in conjunction with HR.

Ensure all program staff are receiving supervision and document in Filemaker.

Complete and oversee the completion of employee annual evaluations, corrective action documents and internal investigation reports.

Participate in the rotation of On-Call coverage.

Provide leadership and act as a role model for direct care staff and residents.

Manage the Citizens Bank credit card account for the program, including reviewing and reconciling monthly statements. Report reconciled invoices with the Director of Fiscal.

Ensure new staff are properly oriented to the program(s) and continue to train existing staff.

Encourage professional growth of designated staff through weekly supervision.

Assure that all quality of life standards are maintained including: maintenance, dietary, hygiene, clothing and building and vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Oversee the planning of creative activities, including community service projects and in house programming utilizing the talents and skills of staff and volunteers.

Manage scheduling/requested time-off quickly, to minimize the use of overtime. Coordination with Program Nursing staff and administration of resident medication and medical/psychiatric care.

Coordination with clinical team to develop and implement resident’s Individual Treatment Plans.

Collaborate with DCF, Lead Agency, Regional Resource Center, school personnel and other provider agencies regarding all residents’ services when applicable.

Oversight of program Daily Communication Log, Incident Reports, Progress Reports, Advocate Notes, Collateral Notes, Clinical Notes, and Internal Investigations when appropriate.

Manage monthly program budgets for the group home program with the guidance of the Director of Fiscal and both the Director and Assistant Direct of Youth Services.

Comply at all times with federal, state and local regulations and licensing requirements.

Participate in Quality Assurance management of the residential component of treatment.

Complete other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a Bachelors degree or at least 5 years experience in residential care with supervisory experience. Must possess strong communication and organization skills.

Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future trainings.
