Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Job Description: Kaizen Custom Homes and Construction is seeking a Lead Carpenter to join our team immediately. Finding a great fit for this position is our priority. If hired, you will be placed on an existing team and project to learn our systems, before leading a new project. Please apply if you have 5+ years of residential remodeling experience as a Skilled Journeyman. Framing skills are a requirement.

We are looking for a highly organized hard-working team player who can communicate effectively with Architects, Homeowners, Project Managers, and Tradespeople; someone who must be willing to jump in at any level needed to support the success of a project. This is an active and engaged role.

Responsibilities :

This position will oversee, manage, and build alongside our highly skilled team to create Custom Designed Homes and High-End Remodels. This job requires excellent time management and organization, as our custom carpentry demands proper planning of materials, tools, and team conduct.

You will be required to read and interpret the details of architectural drawings, blueprints, plans, specs, and instructions to understand design intent.

As a company we keep our job sites clean and safe; as a Lead Carpenter, it is your responsibility to ensure that throughout the day the site is operated in such a manner.

This position requires that you work on framing to finish carpentry. You must have a willingness to learn new skills and assist the team in all areas according to the needs of the job.

As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of construction with support from the rest of the team.

Qualifications :

Construction math skills and the ability to use technology to research, learn, and apply new skills

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a similar role is preferred, but not mandatory.

Must be physically fit and be able to work on your feet for long periods, work at elevated heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather, lift 75 lbs., climb stairs and ladders often, kneel/squat/push/pull/crawl and reach outward and overhead frequently

Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Must have a positive attitude, and be a detail-oriented self-starter. Must be responsible, punctual, dedicated, well-presented, and extremely hardworking.

Must be able to operate power tools and equipment

Proficiency in all trades including demo, framing, siding, window and door installation, and finish work
