MANAGER OF THERAPY CLINICAL SERVICES
Our CompanyRehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation OverviewThis position oversees the clinical and quality services for the RWW outpatient line of business. The Manager of Outpatient Therapy Clinical and Quality Services will actively participate in division-wide activities and projects on a regular basis to ensure compliance and support the strategic plan, business quality goals, clinical excellence, and company growth. Responsibilities
Expertise in Accreditation, Clinical Quality, Billing, and Documentation of services
Oversee CEU requirements and RTS-Relias library of courses and ensure requirements are met through established and new curriculums
Actively participates on division-wide committees and projects such as Customer Satisfaction, new business integration, market-expansion, consolidation, etc.
Provide mentoring support to outpatient clinic leaders in the areas of operations, marketing, and clinical programs
Makes extended onsite visits as needed to assist with resolution of clinical/operational issues, planning, training of new staff, training of operational audit tool
Support team building between outpatient operations and marketing and assist in development of strategic, targeted, marketing goals for the geographic coverage area
Recommend, review, and support outpatient equipment recommendations that support program growth initiatives
Provide educational support to sites on use and program integration
Lead the development and standardization of outpatient specialty programs
Facilitate outpatient EMR implementation and support processes related to clinical, quality, and payer standards
Works with operational leaders and Revenue Cycle to ensure accurate billing practices and documentation
Supports Quality and Performance Improvement activities for RWW division
Participates on PI (Performance Improvement) Process Teams in defining measures, works with the division in obtaining data, supporting validation and analysis, participate in setting performance expectations and monitoring results
Provides support to team related to interviewing and hiring clinical managers candidates and participates in orientation, training, and mentoring of new clinic managers
Support identification and adoption of outpatient clinical standards for quality outcomes, accreditation/regulatory requirements
Support licensing preparation and location-specific clinical and quality needs for outpatient de-novo start-ups
Develops and maintains standardization of outpatient RWW clinical PT, OT, SLP policies, protocols, and revisions as required
Works with Corporate Compliance and legal teams for onsite visits, required reports, and clinical and quality oversight of Critical Incident Report corrective actions and follow-up, as needed
Provide oversight and assistance, as necessary, for internal and external audits and state surveys and support development of corrective action plans
Participation in national, corporate rehab specialty chapters/associations to maintain clinical and quality rehab standards
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Rehabilitation/Counseling, Social Work
A minimum of five years’ experience in healthcare accreditation with prior work experience in CARF accredited operation preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality, data management, clinical informatics, or electronic medical records [EMR]
A minimum of ten years clinical experience in post-acute setting, including five or more in the private practice setting
A minimum of five years of operational management experience preferred
Rehab Clinician: Licensed Physical therapist, Occupational Therapist
Maintain or able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in their home state
Broad knowledge of post-acute healthcare and state regulatory requirements, administration, workers compensation and government payer environment
Demonstrates ability to design and implement effective change programs and manage multiple high-level projects
Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Able and willing to travel regularly 50-75% of the time, including prolonged stays of approximately 1-2 months in a location to provide onsite mentoring and support
