Find your future with us.Position Overview:Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for a Mission Systems Radar/IFF Engineer. The Mission Systems Team is responsible for design, procurement and integration of the full Mission Systems capability onboard the E-7. The Radar/IFF team manages the largest supplier for the E-7 program. For this role, we are hiring for multiple skillsets of the following areas: technical supplier management (TSM), equipment manager for the radar subsystems, support of certification and qualification for FAA and MIL, or electrical support of functional schematics and interface control drawings (ICD). This position also has the opportunity to support additional E-7 efforts such as Next Generation Radar, IRAD and RAMP.The E-7 is the world’s most advanced, capable and reliable Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) platform, having proven itself in operations around the world. The aircraft is designed to track multiple airborne and maritime targets simultaneously. It can provide situational awareness and direct other assets such as fighter jets and warships. Lead efforts in one of the following areas: Technical supplier management of E-7's largest supplier, Equipment management for the radar subsystems, Support certification and qualification for FAA and MIL or Electrical Support of functional schematics and ICD
Collects data on supplier performance to ensure compliance of supplier statement of work (SSOW).
Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle.
Supports project management by gathering project status data.
Collaborates with multiple integrated production teams (IPT).
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5+ years of engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience providing product definitions and technical support to other groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
5+ years of experience developing and managing system and subsystem level requirements
5+ years of experience in leading projects from contract award through system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, parts procurement, installation, testing, and delivery
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate/present to Boeing and customer teams and leaders.
Ability to collaborate with team members and develop execution plans for deliverables.
Experience with certification and qualification with FAA or MIL
Experience as an Equipment Manager over a subsystem
Experience with electrical subsystems for one of the following areas: functional schematics, ICD or wire design

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Summary pay range (Mid-Level - Level 3): $104,550 - $141,450 Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $126,650 - $171,350.
