We are seeking an experienced Wood Framer for a contract position on our construction team. As a Wood Framer, you will play a critical role in building the framework for various residential and commercial projects. This position requires at least 5 years of professional framing experience and offers competitive compensation on a 1099 basis.

Responsibilities

Frame Construction:

Construct and assemble wood frames for walls, floors, roofs, and other structures according to detailed specifications and blueprints.

Measurement and Cutting:

Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials accurately using hand and power tools, maintaining precision and adherence to project requirements.

Installation:

Install and secure structural components such as windows, doors, beams, and trusses, ensuring proper alignment and stability.

Blueprint Interpretation:

Read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings to execute framing tasks accurately and efficiently.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.

Quality Control:

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets high-quality standards and structural integrity requirements.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other contractors, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a wood framer or in a similar construction role is required.

Skills:

Proficient in using hand and power tools for framing and construction tasks.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

Physical stamina and endurance for demanding construction work.

Communication:

Effective verbal communication skills for coordinating with other team members and supervisors.

License/Certification:

A valid driver’s license is required.

OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is a plus.

A trade certification in carpentry or a related field is beneficial.
