Lead engineering teams in the development of technology solutions at enterprise scale for highly sensitive regulatory requirements.

Develop suites of software systems that integrate with various technology systems within Amex through appropriate interfaces and APIs.

Ensure the adoption of enterprise technology standards and frameworks in the development, testing, deployment, and operations of each layer of technology solutions.

Lead the development of frameworks for defined scope where enterprise standards and solutions are not available.

Lead the development of scalable software system for evolving regulatory scope and expanding business lines while incorporating an SRE mindset.

Ensure the scalability of software systems that handle multiple sources of data, with varying complexity, volumes, and quality to ensure outputs that meet the scrutiny of multiple internal and external stakeholders including governmental regulatory bodies.

Design solutions that enable and provide direct analytics at all levels of the software solutions, with structured and increasing levels of detail that enable tangible business insights as well as technological insights for efficient diagnosis of anomalies.

Develop technology roadmaps that align with product roadmaps and integrates evolving enterprise standards.

Lead the recruitment of new talent for the team across locations.

Effectively coach individual members of teams, to ensure collectively high performing teams and enabling career growth.

Own the financials for responsible teams for ongoing operations and new development.

Effectively communicate engineering needs, progress and outcomes with engineering and finance leaders at senior levels.

Minimum Qualifications

12 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer in the development of database software solutions.

10 years of hands-on experience development solutions with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, including design of logical data structures, as well as end reporting tools such as Tableau, Microsoft BI, Sisense etc.

8 years of experience in the development of large sets of data structures of varying data volumes and complexity, for both processing and for required outputs.

5 years of experience in the development of large software solutions for highly regulated industries such Financial Services, HealthCare etc. in multi-year programs.

5 years in the recruitment of high potential and highly skilled engineers to quickly expand team and deliver on large scope.

5 years of experience with the gathering of required data, deriving insights, to enable insightful discussions with engineering as well as business leaders.

3 years of experience in the migration of existing software systems to new technology stacks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with migration of on prem enterprise systems to cloud based solutions is a plus.

Experience with the development of technology solutions for Financial Services regulators is a plus.
