Permanent part time opening for qualified Equestrian help .
Requirements Include but are not limited to:
Must have a good knowledge of health and welfare of horses . Compassionate and passionate about equines .
Knowledge of handling horses for turnout and turn in .
Feeding and Watering : Hay , knowledge of prepping Grain , supplements , medications: blanketing and un blanketing experience, must be able to lift 65lbs. Must be able to drive UTV . Also care about keeping grounds tidy and presentable . Keeping hay raked up , weeds, trash , etc.
Shared cleaning duties of stalls , pens , watering troughs .
Good communication skills is a must as well as easy to get along with manager, staff and clients . A team player who has some flexibility . A good self starter one who pays attention to detail. Speaking and writing English is a must .
Person should be in good physical condition love working outside and know how to dress appropriately for adverse weather conditions and ranch type gear dress code , and know how important it is to take care of animals in any kind of weather .
Must be able to work holidays if your shift falls on a holiday or flexible to trade with other staff members . You will get extra pay on the 4 major holidays .
I have the current shift available you would work Monday through Wednesday plus every other weekend 7:30 am to 4:30 pm .
Must have valid social security number, drivers license reliable transportation for adverse weather conditions and resume with job references . Prefer someone that lives within 30 minutes or less of the Lone Butte San Marco’s area. This is a non smoking , drug and alcohol free establishment. Starting Pay 15-16 per hour depending on experience. Approximately 34-36 hours per week depending on season .
