Industrial Maintenance Technician

Our client is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and facility functionality. With technical expertise and strong time management, you'll conduct preventive maintenance, oversee repairs, and perform inspections to uphold our production processes. Flexibility is key, with availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays. This position is located in Brooklyn and is fully onsite.

This role would be great for someone who has previous experience as a building super/maintenance person, has worked doing mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment and worked with large scale manufacturing or printing machinery.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery, inspecting equipment, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance.

Be able to diagnose, trouble shoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Repairs such as: mechanical components including bearings, gears, belts, chains, shafts, wiring, switches, relays, and control panels.

Conduct preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary on factory equipment.

Perform preventive building maintenance duties and general facility repairs.

Job Requirements:

Related degree from a technical college preferred.

Knowledge of basic mechanical skills

Prior experience working with industrial or production equipment is required.

Basic knowledge of plumbing and electric.

Strong time management skills

Must be available to work a flexible schedule include holidays, if necessary.

8 hour shift

Standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 50lbs

The starting hourly rate of pay for this role is $30 to $35 per hour. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience.
