Warehouse Worker, Order Puller, Forklift Operator

Kayu is a small family owned Direct Importer of the finest Exotic Hardwood for the U.S. and Canadian markets located in Hayden, Idaho, doing business for 30 years and going strong. Looking for a full time, long-term team member that is hard-working, self-motivated, accountable, organized and driven, with at least 2 years of related experience. The perfect candidate would be a team player, willing and able to learn, possess a can do it attitude, and can work independently and without supervision. Must be a problem-solver comfortable with prioritizing and completing tasks independently and without guidance.

This position will require loading and unloading incoming and outgoing product, pulling orders, operating forklift, power tools, and banders. Accuracy, speed and good work ethic are critical. This position will report to and assist the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Pull and prepare orders accurately for pick up

Load and unload trucks with forklift

Receive inventory and verify accuracy of incoming goods

Maintain clean work and organized work area

Measure and cut wood, build crates using power tools for outgoing shipments

Verify quantities and condition of products when requested

Maintain a Safe Work Environment

Other duties as assigned

Inventory Management: Maintain high accuracy level in inventory through cycle counting and other methodologies

Guarantee accuracy and punctuality in all warehouse processes

Qualifications:

Forklift certification and experience

Basic computer skills

Excellent communication skills

Must be able to lift 80 lbs.

Ability to work and stand for long periods

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
