Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver
Local industrial piping and fluid processing distributor and manufacturer has an immediate opening. Warehouse/delivery driver position comes with great benefits and opportunities for advancement.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Immediate opening in our Customer Service/Distribution Department. Work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
PAY RATE: $18.00 per hour.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for receiving incoming product, shipping outgoing customer orders, picking up and delivering items to local customers and suppliers, and assisting customers.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assist customers in person and by phone; process customer orders; deliver customer orders either by company vehicle or shipping via UPS, Federal Express, common carrier, etc.; check in incoming materials; restock product bins. Responsible for maintenance schedule for company vehicles (arrange for oil changes, car wash, etc.). Responsible for keeping warehouse and parking lot in a clean and orderly condition.
EXPERIENCE: Previous warehouse and customer service experience is desired. Knowledge of pipe, valves and fittings is preferred but not required.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work well with customers, suppliers and other employees. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must be able to operate a forklift (we will provide training and certification), and lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis. Some computer experience is required. Familiarity with software such as Windows and Quickbooks is helpful. Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
