Job Summary: The Estimator will play a critical role in assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring the efficient execution of restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our project managers, clients, and insurance adjusters.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site visits to assess damage and gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain necessary quotes and ensure accuracy in cost projections.
Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
Review and validate estimates to ensure they align with industry standards and company guidelines.
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address any concerns.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and best practices.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.
Track and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
Participate in project planning meetings and provide insights to improve project outcomes.
Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator in the restoration or construction industry.
Strong understanding of restoration processes, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Xactimate, RSMeans).
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Relevant certifications (e.g., IICRC, Xactimate certification) are a plus.
