SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Work in all areas of Operations (Quarry, Asphalt, and Recycle). Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshoot and repair of plants electrical system(s) in a safe and timely manner to maximize plant productivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown to correct the problem. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to insure compatibility and safety of the system.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently

Ability to work with minimal direction and initiate problem solving skills

Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure

Understand and carry out oral and written instructions

Keep accurate daily records

Good mental concentration and judgment

Knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the

electrical trade.

Able to understand electrical diagrams

Basic computer skills

Must own tools

EDUCATION

High School or GED

Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card preferred but not required

2+ years’ experience
