DescriptionThe Amazon Fresh Grocery team is looking for an experienced Sr. Category Manager. You will lead multiple facets of the omni-channel Prepared Foods business (e.g., buying/vendor management, product management, operations, marketing/merchandising) and identify growth opportunities within our Prepared Foods space. You will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical levels across all aspects of the business.Key job responsibilitiesYou will have accountability for the business results of your product subcategories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing and growing vendor relationships, expanding product selection and vendor base, negotiating contracts, setting category strategy, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating best-in-class multi-channel customer experiences.The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
4+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
5+ years of with Excel experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
Ability to seamlessly work across functional and organizational boundaries, and reputation for influencing others and earning trust across levels and organizations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
MBA
Experience working with short shelf-life products is a plus

The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
