Part time Preschool Teacher

Building Blocks Nursery School is currently seeking a part-time assistant teacher to work in both the Juniors (ages 2-3) and Preschool (ages 4-5) classrooms. We are looking for someone approximately 30 hours per week, from 12-6pm daily. The school is open year-round, M-F 7am-6pm.

Job Duties:

Interact positively with all children to encourage an open and engaging learning environment

Assist with the preschool curriculum

Clean, organize and maintain the classroom and all teaching materials

Perform other tasks as assigned/needed

Required Qualifications:

Be a minimum of 18 years of age

Must hold a High School Diploma/GED; preference given to candidates who hold a degree in Early Childhood Education

Strong communication skills with children, staff, parents, and administration

CPR/First Aid/BBP training

Three professional references

Able to routinely kneel, bend, crouch and sit on the floor for extended periods of time

Able to stand, walk and sit on child sized chairs throughout the day

Must meet state licensing requirements for education and additional center/school requirements
