Builds a high-performance team; hires and retains the right talent in the right roles; sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable; develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and act. Understands broader company level influences and the direct impact to upstream and downstream Intra-company partners. Distinctly aware of Inter-team process gaps, root cause of gaps and able to identify and recommend systemic solutions. Can champion process change internal to the team even when changes involve more workload for team. Oversee work queue of planners and engineers to ensure priorities are established and develop WIP/ force to load reporting with leadership to demonstrate workload Planning Engineer work queue management supporting equipment augment requests for multiple projects and with differing timelines, dependencies, and priorities to facilitate the successful realization of new revenue and cost savings. Responsible for the management of implementation of transport network work orders pertaining to equipment decommissioning and removal.

Mentor, coach, and motivate direct report staff to realize individual and team goals through Servant Leadership philosophy.

Seek improvements in efficiencies working with leadership and peers to streamline processes, drive down deployment intervals, eliminate rework and demonstrate improvements through regular reporting.

Provide detailed reports and comprehensive summaries of WIP management performance to the Executive Management team.

Works with project management, supporting teams, and leadership to define intervals for complex projects and BAU activities, ensuring that team meets target dates expectations.

Analyzes trends and develop strategies to expand, rearrange, or modify the network to accommodate corporate initiatives and industry changes and drivers.

Meet or exceed departmental KPIs set by leadership.

Establish and document standard processes for team to increase efficiency and productivity.

Automate reporting where possible to provide dashboard views of workload, team performance and network costs.

Actively promote cross functional collaboration.

What We Look For in a CandidateRequired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Typically, with 5-7 years related experience and 1+ year previous supervisory / leadership experience preferred.

Expert knowledge and development skills for Network processes, standards, and tools including interdepartmental handoffs, activities and SLA’s.

Excellent financial and data analysis skills with the ability to articulate via PowerPoint and through oral communication.

Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to tailor information to multiple different audiences.

Must be a strong team player, passionate about sharing information and knowledge with peers and management.

Proficient MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Expert skills developing and using new engineering principles, processes, applications, methods and procedures, installation practices, and telecom architectures to support the development of the Scope of Work (SOW) and funding documents.

Strong architectural understanding of SONET, Ethernet, and DWDM network transport systems across multiple OEM manufacturers.

Power BI, Power Automate experience preferred.
