Position Summary: That Pizza Place, an iconic restaurant in Carlsbad, CA with over 46 years of serving the North County community, is seeking a high energy, outgoing, experienced leader for the position of Kitchen Manager, Chef, or Sous Chef. The position will be responsible for supervising, leading, and assisting kitchen staff, as well as keeping the kitchen clean, healthy, and safe per state and local county regulations. Reports To: General Manager
Position Qualifications:
1. At least 3 years of kitchen experience (preferably experience with pizza)
2. At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
3. Reliable transportation
4. Food Handlers Card
5. Completed or in the process of completing ServSafe certification (ServSafe Food Manager Certification required)
6. Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high quality preparation and food standards
2. Ensure all food products are ordered according to predetermined quantities.
3. Oversee kitchen inventory, safety, and other typical regulations
4. Supervise and train kitchen staff to produce quality food up to TPP standards
Other responsibilities:
1. Keeps kitchen and kitchen equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
2. Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
3. Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations and procedures
4. Inventory control, food waste management, and other duties as assigned
