PuroClean of Kearny is seeking a Restoration Technician to start immediately. Pay is based on industry experience and/or certifications.
Come join our team and help us save the day! We are seeking a water, fire, and mold remediation technician to work with our team. Restoration and/or construction experience required.
PuroClean cleans up damage after floods and fires. We also handle mold remediation. Our office is located in Kearny and we service all of Northern New Jersey.
Our main goal is customer satisfaction, so it is important to have EXCELLENT communication skills with our customers and team. This is a full-time position; holidays, weekends will be required therefore, you MUST be flexible. You will be placed in an on call rotation for after hours and weekend work (overtime paid accordingly). IICRC (i.e., WRT, ASD, FSRT, AMRT) certifications are one of your powers. If you already have them, then you can look forward to a higher pay rate. Water and Fire restoration experience is a big plus but not required: we will train the right candidate.
As a Disaster Restoration Technician, you will be bringing equipment into the customer's home or business and assist in setting up drying equipment. Your responsibilities will include: removal of wet drywall, insulation, carpeting, hardwood and tile flooring, demolition and hauling debris out of the customers house.
The successful candidate must take a genuine interest in the customer's needs and the needs of the team. If you're willing to put in the effort and work hard, this is a great opportunity for overtime pay. Work hours require on-call rotations for one week duration. Primary Responsibilities:
Explain process and answer customer questions, as needed.
Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs/concerns.
Communicate clear expectations to Production Technicians and supervise their activities.
Perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.
Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
Manage job file documentation (paperwork) to ensure complete and accurate project details.
Manage and control costs of production projects.
Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.
Professional appearance.
Requirements:
- Construction experience HELPFUL!
- Experience using small power tools.
- Ability to demo a work site removing walls, carpeting, wood floors, cabinets, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Drive company vehicles safely
- Setup, takedown, and properly maintain company equipment
- Call customers to set appointments, discuss job scope, answer questions
- Scope jobs from beginning to end. Take moisture readings, diagram area, document damage, etc.
- Effective oral communication, basic math skills
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to navigate through smartphone/tablet and use the software that is critical to our business
- Ability to wear a full face respirator when needed
- Clean driving record
- Must live less than 30 minutes from our office
- Attention to details a must
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
- Must be able to work some weekends/nights and be on an "on-call" rotation every other weekend.
