Art studio seeks Freelance Installers and Assistant Carpenters

compensation: $17 -20 per hour

employment type: part-time and contract

We are a team of professionally trained artists, art consultants, graphic designers, project managers, and art handlers who work together to create innovative work for each client. Our team works collaboratively with emerging artists, architects, designers, consultants, and the secondary art market to serve a wide range of clients in the corporate, hospitality, residential, institutional, and healthcare industries.

We are seeking:

Carpenters/Installers

Woodshop Duties include:

-Basic woodshop maintenance

-Fabricate stretchers, panels, sculptural elements and shipping crates

-Assist with installations and deliveries

-Packing and wrapping finished artwork for shipment or delivery

-Running errands for supplies

- Art Installation

-shipping and packing of artwork and receiving shipments of supplies

- Keeping inventory stocked, tools and equipment clean organized

Qualifications:

-Previous woodshop or carpentry/art installation experience

-Must be able to lift 50+lbs

-Flexible hours, must be able to work occasional nights or weekends

-Drivers license required

-Background or degree in Art

Painters/Artists

-knowledge and understanding of acrylic and oil paints, painting materials and techniques.

-Comfortable with sculptural / mixed media projects.

-Light carpentry skills/ drivers license a plus.

-Proficient in working in a variety of styles, from realistic to abstract
