Issaquah Montessori seeking Afternoon Assistant Teacher
Issaquah Montessori School is looking for a Montessori-minded afternoon assistant teacher. We are a traditional Montessori school serving the Issaquah-Sammamish area. Our mission is to inspire empathetic, inquisitive, and resilient leaders.
Ideal candidates are team players and passionate about working with young children. You’ll collaborate with another assistant teacher in a multi-age (3-6-year-old) classroom as part of an after-school team. The hours for this position are 12:00 noon-5:45 pm during the school year.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom preparation, cleaning, observation during work periods, recess supervision, record keeping, and helping with naps.

Is flexible and willing to provide support where needed to the benefit of the community
Able to pass a Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families background check and provide supplemental materials showing required certifications/documentation
Required documentation (to be completed prior to hire or within 30-days of hire):
Current First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens training
Food Handler permit
DCYF Portable Background Check (to be completed before date of hire)
Cleared Mantoux TB test and proof of MMR vaccine (or immunity)
Immunization information, including COVID vaccination

Montessori experience is not required as we will provide training on Montessori philosophy and the culture at Issaquah Montessori.
Compensation: Depends on experience; range $22-$25/hour
