We are a Steel Company looking for candidates for our Union Shop:

Shop Helper/Machine Operator/Truck Loader.

Full Time, Day/ Monday through Friday Plus Overtime.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Assists other workers by performing any combination of the following tasks:

Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist machine operators or fabrication personnel.

Loads, stacks, and transports tools, work in process, or drops by hand or by lift.

Cleans and scrapes metal in preparatory to fabricating or shipping.

Picks up, sorts, and stacks or disposes of drop material from work areas.

Keeps general areas clean, including sweeping and sanitation duties.

Adheres to the best practices to maintain a safe worksite and products

Aids and assists other team members to complete the department’s and the company’s goals.

Familiarity with Steel Shapes a plus

Familiarity with tape measure a plus

Forklift a plus

Familiarity with Shop Machines (Band Saw, Ironworker, Sheer, Bender) a plus.
