Position Summary
The Field Marketing Associate at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery (NGBD) contributes to the NGBD Experience by confidently sharing our product and company story to community members and off-site partners, this role requires the ability to create and manage both internal and external relationships. The Field Marketing Associate reports directly to the Hospitality Manager and is responsible for the coordination and execution of both on and off-premise events that build brand awareness in the local community and drive foot traffic to the distillery. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work individually with little supervision, as well as with a team. The goal is to provide unforgettable experiences to all clients by creating top-of-the-line events that highlight the best of our brand and story.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for knowing the history of Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery and a demonstrated knowledge of NGBD products
Responsible for driving visitation to the distillery from both in market activations and community outreach
Point of contact for trade and market visits to the distillery.
Feilding all inquiries for Nelson’s Greenbrier on site promotional events and local in-market events providing timely responses to inquiries
Management and coordination of the Whiskey Wagon calendar and activations, including communication with staffing managers, general store & finance to be sure all data is entered into event management system
Work closely with CBI regulatory and vendors to ensure proper execution and planning against the needs of the Whiskey Wagon (local and federal permitting)
Weekly & Monthly Reporting and tracking of KPIs set for all promotional and in-market events
Works closely with Event sales team, building relationships with clients throughout the coordination process
Work with event and marketing teams to manage any shared inventory and supplies.
Works closely with hospitality and sales teams for all necessary training to staff an event.
Act as event lead day of as needed.
Set-up and breakdown of on and off-premise events
Willingness to work varied schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
Constant commitment to high quality customer service
Continuing education and awareness in both spirits and tourism
Drive increased revenue as well as brand awareness through booking events and tastings.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
3-5+ years’ experience in the beverage industry
Passion for hospitality and events with a willingness to do what is needed to produce the best experience for our guests
Built positive relationships with co-workers and community partners
Confidence speaking in front of clients and answering questions
Ability to take direction and work with existing guidelines and processes
Ability to work with a diverse set of team members
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of clients
Demonstrate a high level of follow through and ability to meet multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
High level of knowledge of the Nelson’s Green Brier story and products
Certifications from Bourbon Steward, WSET, CMS or other beverage related organizations a plus

Work Environment: - Works outdoors/indoors - Works in warm/cold climates - Works in high places - Works on wet surfaces - Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals - Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic - Must be able to move up to 55 lbs

The salary range for this role is:
$60,400.00 - $88,800.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
