Honeywell continues to lead the industry with advanced Cockpit solutions and Integrated Avionics systems As an Avionics Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell within Honeywell Flight Systems, you will have the opportunity to apply your passion for aviation and eagerness to learn will be instrumental in shaping the future of Avionics Flight Controls technology. You will j oin a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell Flight Systems, working on Automatic Flight Controls Systems (AFCS) for our Business, Regional, and General Aviation platforms, for fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter, and future Urban Air Mobility (UAM), including EPIC, Apex, Anthem Avionics, and legacy product lines. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) location on a Hybrid work schedule. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirement decomposition

Systems design

Model-based systems development

Systems integration

Systems validation & verification

Flight test and issue investigation

Customer interaction.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or related field

Bachelors degree with 2+ years of experience in Aerospace, Flight Controls, Avionics or related.

OR a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, or related with a combination of academic project, internship and/or co-op experience

Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle

Experience, exposure and knowledge of any of the following i.e. Aerospace systems, Avionics, Aeronautics, Flight Controls, Automatic Controls etc.

Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic engineering environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to identify problems and significantly improve or change existing methods and technique

Ability to adapt dictated by program changes

Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work independently
