$500 Hiring Bonus: $250 bonus at 6 months and $250 bonus at one year of employment. Terms apply.

Primary duties of this position are to plan/organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Food Services Department under the guidance of the Director of Nutritional Services in accordance with current applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations per Federal, State and or Local requirements. Additionally, knowledge of the Washington Assisted Living requirements, as it pertains to the Food Service Program is essential. To assure the highest quality of food and services to Orchard Crest residents.

```Duties```

· Develop good rapport with intra and inter departmental personnel.

· Have input in regular staff meetings for communication of new information and to foster teamwork among kitchen and dining room staff.

· Assist with employee evaluations.

· Know food ordering process and operate within organization budgetary needs.

· Plan, develop, organize, implement, and re-evaluate food service’s overall goal objectives and ensure these are in alignment with the overall organization.

· Work closely with consulting Director regarding menus, special diets, dietary requirements, kitchen inspection, etc.

· Understand Assisted Living residents’ special dietary needs and ensure a safe and exact process for delivering such needs.

· Understand and adhere to the Washington State Code regulations.

· Maintain active managerial control of the food services department.

· Meet with Director as well as other departments regarding planning special events and activities.

· Maintain food services kitchen, staffing, food budgets and cleanliness.

· Stay current with industry standards, innovations, and techniques.

· Morning and evening do a walk through (depending on shift). Ensure cleanliness, make sure all logs and temperature changes are up to date. Check for dating and labeling compliance for refrigerators and freezers.

· Ensure all logs are fully completed daily.

· Do daily walk thru of entire kitchen looking for mis dated foods, missing log data and cleanliness.

· Make sure cleaning schedule is followed.

```Qualifications```

- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry or food service management

- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and dietary department operations

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
