Description We are seeking a Patient Care Representative to join our team in the educational sector at our Englewood, Colorado location. This role involves being the first point of contact for patients and handling various administrative tasks in a healthcare setting. It offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for patients, both in-person and over the phone, responding to or redirecting inquiries as needed Schedule patient appointments following established procedures to ensure smooth healthcare service delivery Handle telephone calls professionally and efficiently to maintain high quality patient communication Act as a compassionate and understanding liaison between patients and healthcare providers Collect co-pays from patients, provide receipts, and manage the financial transactions involved in patient care Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the waiting and reception areas, reporting any damage promptly Verify patient insurance details with health insurance organizations to ensure correct billing Assist in managing patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Utilize basic medical terminology and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems in daily operations Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, ensuring a streamlined patient experience. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or related field Proficiency in Basic Medical Terminology Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Experience in scheduling patient appointments Knowledge of Medical Insurance Verification process Proficiency in managing Medical Records Experience in Receptionist Duties Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and medical staff Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Must possess excellent customer service skills Ability to multi-task and handle high pressure situations with composure Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications Must adhere to confidentiality and privacy protocols in handling patient information High school diploma or equivalent required, further education in a related field is a plus.
