Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative I in the heart of BALTIMORE, Maryland, United States. The role primarily involves responding to customer inquiries, managing vehicle impoundment procedures, and maintaining accurate customer records. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties in a bustling environment.Responsibilities: Address customer inquiries via phone and in-person, specifically those related to vehicle impoundment by the city. Guide customers through the procedures and documents necessary for vehicle release, auction, or disposal. Analyze official documents such as police reports, towing receipts, and inventory control forms for relevant data pertaining to vehicle impoundment. Determine the appropriate documentation and procedures for vehicle release, auction, or disposal based on unique impoundment circumstances. Utilize the Department of Motor Vehicle database to identify any liens on the vehicle or outstanding parking or moving violation tickets. Schedule administrative hearings to resolve disputes regarding impounded vehicles. Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records. Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency. Promptly resolve customer complaints and problems, involving data entry or word processing tasks. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status. Requirements Must be comfortable assisting customers and potential customers with inquiries and concerns Should have the ability to enter data with a high level of accuracy Must be able to resolve customer problems efficiently and effectively No specific years of experience required, entry-level applicants are welcome Should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Must have a positive attitude and demonstrate professional customer service skills Should be able to multitask and manage time effectively Must be comfortable working in a team environment Should be willing to learn and adapt to new processes and systems Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail Should have basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
