Supply Chain Manager
Description We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our retail team in San Diego, California. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity, focusing on the comprehensive management of supply chain processes. You will be responsible for developing financial models, aligning vendor capacity with business needs, and managing sustainability initiatives within the retail industry. Responsibilities: Lead competitive sourcing activities to optimize supply chain efficiency Develop and implement financial models to enhance profitability Provide cost options to product developers to facilitate informed decision-making Evaluate vendors based on performance and quality, establishing improvement goals Vet and onboard new vendors to ensure a viable and diverse supplier base Collaborate with logistics providers for freight optimization to reduce transportation costs Research industry trends to stay abreast of best practices in supply chain management Design and implement sourcing policies that align with the company's strategic objectives Manage sustainability initiatives to promote environmentally responsible practices Attend trade shows to build and maintain vendor relations Oversee the training and development of staff to ensure a high-performing team.
