Description We are in search of a meticulous Medical Billing/Claims/Collections professional to join a great healthcare team in Cincinnati, Ohio. Robert Half is supporting a growing client looking to bring in a Medical Billing/Accounts Receivable Specialist in a contract to hire capacity. As the Medical Billing/Accounts Receivable Specialist you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of a busy organization. This role requires a high level of collaboration, communication and critical thinking in order to ensure an accurate and efficient billing process. The responsibilities include reviewing and generating claims to be submitted for reimbursement, ensuring all necessary documentation for billing is in compliance, effectively communicating with providers and payees, and working closely with staff to resolve denials and submit appeals as needed. Critical thinking is crucial to their role in addressing and rectifying billing discrepancies, ensuring input accuracy, documenting write offs, and increasing reimbursement possibilities for services offered. The position of Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in billing, preferably with a home care service agency, strong communication skills, spreadsheet proficiency, exceptional organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing/Claims/Collections or related field Proficient knowledge of Accounting Software Systems Experience with EHR SYSTEM Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Familiarity with Appeals and Authorizations in the medical field Proven experience in handling Billing Functions Proficiency in Medical Billing and Medical Claims Understanding of EOB - Explanation of Benefits Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven record of collaborating effectively Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
