Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Texas. This role is in the industry of account reconciliation and requires a detail-oriented individual who will play an integral part in maintaining and processing customer accounts. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy in invoice processing and data entry, conduct check runs, and utilize various software including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.Responsibilities: Handle and process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintain and update customer credit records regularly Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Conduct check runs to ensure timely payments Code invoices correctly and efficiently Ensure accurate data entry of all relevant information Process invoices, ensuring all details are correct and up-to-date Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient account processes. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, and Coding Invoices. Experience in Data Entry and Invoice Processing tasks. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Working knowledge of Oracle and QuickBooks software. Familiarity with SAP is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven problem-solving skills. Prior experience in an Accounts Payable role is advantageous. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
