Position Summary:

Assist with the daily operations of the kitchen including prep, stock, cook, and cleaning duties. Ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet restaurants specifications and commitment. Maintain a safe, orderly, efficient, and sanitized kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensures that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period

- Keeps kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organized

- Preparing ingredients and following all recipes and portion servings correctly and according to menu specifications

- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef at any time

-Develop cooperative working relationships with other staff members to ensure the entire group works as a team

-Teamwork and Positive Attitude - Be ready and willing to assist the team as situations arise.

-Work ethic second-to-none, understanding that sometimes this industry doesn't fit neatly into a box.

-Alert kitchen/restaurant management to any issues or potential problems which could have an impact on the dining experience, customer satisfaction, sales, quality, etc.

Skills and Attitudes:

- Professional culinary experience

- Love for food and beverage

- Desire to build something great and make a mark on the industry

- Knowledge of basic training techniques

- Understanding of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws

- Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, knives, and dish machine.

- Able to work in high energy and demanding environment

- Team player with strong communication skills

- Effective problem solving and ability to take direction

Physical Requirements:

- Able to stand and exert fast paced mobility for entire shift with a good sense of balance.

- Able to lift, bend, kneel, and wipe.

- Able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage, and other items greater than 35 pounds
