We are seeking experienced Railroad Laborers for the construction, maintenance, and repair of railroad tracks. This role involves working as part of a team to complete new projects including track builds, repairs, maintenance, etc. Must be willing to travel. New projects are located in York, PA as well as other locations along the East Coast, to include MD, DE, NC, SC, GA and TN.

Job Duties:

Assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of railroad tracks and related infrastructure.

Perform tasks such as laying and aligning rails, securing ties and replacing worn components.

Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in track work.

Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure track safety and functionality.

Follow safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries

Remove brush and other vegetation from between rails

Operate hand-held powered equipment and manual tools.

Keep the job site clean.

Performs other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications:

2 years of experience in railroad construction industry.

Clear vision and hearing.

Excellent hand-eye coordination

Ability to understand and follow directions.

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be available to work all shifts. Days, nights and weekends.

Ability to obtain security passes for various government facilities

Must pass background check, DOT/FRA drug test

Must have own vehicle for travel to the worksite location.

Hazards: Weather, track, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform essential functions requiring various physical movements.

Must use all extremities, work outside in extreme temperatures and weather, and perform tasks like crawling, kneeling, and bending.

Occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
