The Pharmacy Director is responsible for the leadership of all pharmacy departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and strategic goals.

The Pharmacy Director ensures alignment of all systems to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, while focusing on people, services, and financial stewardship.

This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, and employees.

The Pharmacy Director is also responsible for coordinating and managing the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

The Director is a member of the Leadership team and plays an active role in the execution of the annual hospital business plan.

The Director is responsible for the day-to- day operational oversight of the department including but not limited to, payroll, hiring, counseling, mentoring / coaching and scheduling, orientation, competency validation of new and existing staff, and annual evaluations.

What qualifications you will need:Education:

Doctorate Degree

License/Certification:

Licensed Pharmacist

Experience:

Knowledge of state, federal, JCAHO regulations

Aseptic Technique/chemo preparation

3-5 years as a Clinician

Previous Departmental Director/ Manager with at least 3-5 years’ experience in role
