NEHDS Logistics, a regional transportation and warehousing company, has an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time, Jr. Fleet Manager to be based out of depot. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day transportation operations of our dedicated, straight-truck fleet and drivers. This position is responsible for the effective and successful management of DOT requirements related to the trucks and their drivers at the locations noted above, including light maintenance and drive-behinds. Travel is required, and accompany vehicle will be supplied.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to the following:
· On-road training for new and existing employees
· Assist in local driver recruiting
· Set weekly schedules, including fleet maintenance with NEHDS ’maintenance providers
· Manage maintenance expenses and budget
General Responsibilities:
Partner with local Operations Managers, Dispatchers, and HR Manager to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training related activities
Track performance and provide identified retraining and process improvement opportunities
Support standard work and safety programs
Lead all learning and operational audits
Directs repair, service and maintenance of company vehicles.
Develops and supervises vehicle preventive maintenance schemes.
Reviews periodic repair procedures to ensure completeness, accuracy and efficiency.
Trains and disciplines subordinate drivers with the direction of Human Resources.
Directs supervisory staff in planning of automotive repair and maintenance jobs.
Investigates vehicle accidents, negotiates for any possible settlements and authorizes any repairs or maintenance of company vehicles
Job Status: Full Time / 5 days / 4:00am start time / schedule availability / Tue- Sat.

· Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of Sr. branch management.
