Hi, My name is Jackie,

I have worked in the field of healthcare in many capacities for over twenty five years. For the last two years to date, I’ve been working with the same family taking care of a ninety year old woman. My duties include: feeding, personal hygiene, dressing, meds, light cleaningetc. My skills and experience include: working for a private duty nursing company as the night manager. Duties included staffing and scheduling home and hospital nurses. During the day, I worked as a CNA, taking care of hospice patients. Working for a hospice has given me the empathy, understanding to work with the elderly, sick and dying who are medically challenged and in need of individualized care. I have trained and worked as a medical assistant in an urgent care facility for over six years learning phlebotomy, x-rays, and many sterile procedures. I’m also trained in colostomy care. While going to The College of Staten Island Studying pharmacy technology, I also went on to manage a Gastroenterology practice under four doctors. Working both the medical side and the billing side. I also took over Managing a cardiology practice where there were two locations and five doctors. I Am only interested in home care for the elderly. I am available after 12 in the afternoon until 6 PM. Salary to be discussed depending on duties needed. References are available upon request.
