Displaying a passion for exploring technologies, while designing and building the next generation of smart protection products for extremely rugged markets. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development of new capabilities through integration of converging commercial technologies.SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPeople:

Primarily collaborates with other members of the Software Development Team to define solutions.

Some interaction with Mechanical Engineers and Electronics Engineers to develop end-to-end features and integrations.

Share knowledge with Software Team members

Process:

Complete working and tested code.

Collaborate with team to define solutions.

Demonstrate completed tasks in Sprint reviews.

Recommend software features and design improvements.

Create working prototypes for early product evaluation.

Use iterative and agile development techniques to create fast feedback loops.

Participate in peer code reviews.

Support management with inputs to Agile/Kanban boards.

Design and execute unit, regression, and integration test plans.

Perform manual testing of systems.

Create automated tests.

Update technical knowledge base and share solutions with team members.

Performance:

Design, build, and maintain mobile applications and code libraries – generally Android.

Deliver functionality for interacting with connected devices over USB and wireless protocols.

Follow professional engineering and SDLC practices - including coding standards, source control management, build processes, testing, documentation, and release management.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

University degree in Computer Science or related field.

Recent graduates up to 2 years relevant work experience.

Demonstrated Java, Kotlin, or C programming skills.

Understanding of software design principles.

Ability to work independently on assigned scope.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Proficiency in English (written and oral).

Good to have: Experience with mobile programming.

Good to have: Experience with Android Studio.

Good to have: Understanding of agile and User Stories.
