Job Family :Strategy & Transformation ConsultingTravel Required :Up to 10%Clearance Required :Ability to Obtain SecretWhat You Will Do :The Communications Specialist will serve as a detail-oriented public affairs coordinator to manage press and speaking requests and oversee social media and messaging strategies for a federal client.This role involves the following responsibilities:

Tracking and responding to incoming press and speaking invitations, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring all necessary clearances are obtained.

Work closely with team members to schedule and facilitate interviews and speaking engagements, manage the drafting and clearing of talking points and remarks, and act as the primary point of contact for submitting and reviewing these material

Monitor significant media mentions, drafting social media content for the X/Twitter and Instagram accounts, and contribute to strategic messaging for major events.

Develop content for high visibility events and other relevant occasions and manage the website

Collaboration with organizational public affairs to produce media notes and other communication materials, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

What You Will Need :

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Bachelor's degree

ONE (1) year or more of communications experience

What Would Be Nice To Have :

Familiarity in public affairs or a related field, with an understanding of press and media relations.

Experience working with government agencies or high-profile organizations.

Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies for effective content creation and engagement.

Ability to develop and implement messaging strategies for diverse audiences.

Proven track record of proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment.

An understanding of the Jewish community landscape, and issues afflicting Jewish communities around the world.

Desire to support public sector clients with a foreign assistance mission, particularly the efforts to develop strategies and policies to combat antisemitism.

Experience working in teams to produce high-impact products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently

​Strong attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in drafting statements and social media content.

Proficiency in coordinating logistics for events, including scheduling, setup, and liaising with stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00.
