This position is responsible for providing information to the public about all Family Health Education programs and acts as a liaison with Meriter Hospital, clinics, and other health providers. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
Managing the registration platform for all classes and events
Creating and sending attendee and class correspondence
Database management for all Family Health Education programs
Scheduling and hosting all classes, meetings, programs, groups, and special events
Providing AV and room set-up support for all events related to the Family Health Education department
Maintaining mailing lists for specific populations
Collecting, compiling, and summarizing department statistics including:
Registration, attendees, community support and survey data
Purchasing, financial data, teaching material inventory and supplies
Staffing, directories, safety, and security information
Processing all refunds, transfers, community benefit and tuition assistance
Developing and processing a wide variety of educational materials
Providing program support to all instructional staff, guest presenters, and the department manager
Requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
6 months - 1 year or more of experience in an office support role
Ability to work unsupervised and collaborate respectfully with the FHE team
Strong organizational skills and understanding of how to prioritize tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication
High School diploma
Professional demeanor
Ability to physically set up/tear down class and event stations regularly
(this requires physical labor, such as bending, pushing, pulling, moving items, and carrying materials)
Preferred
Completion of 1-2 years of college or more
Support experience in a health care or education setting
Spanish fluency
Variable days worked to adjust to cover support of classes
