Government program in Huntsville Alabama or the National Capital Region.ManTech's Department of Justice Division is seeking a strategic leader for the Enterprise Data Analysis Section (EDAS) Services EDAS Portfolio. The role involves acquiring technical expertise to support IT networks, systems, and initiatives. The position is crucial for the success of FBI missions and requires specialized technical expertise in agile methodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The SAFe methodology will be used to align Agile teams and deliver capabilities, ensuring effective work prioritization and successful delivery. Experience with SAFe implementation is essential to modernize and enhance capabilities within the EDAS portfolio.Position Title: Data Engineer (Senior) - Insider and Security Analytics Platform (ISAP) and InTO Research and Analysis Unit (RAU)Position Summary:The Data Engineer (Senior) for the Insider and Security Analytics Platform (ISAP) and InTO Research and Analysis Unit (RAU) is responsible for maintaining a cloud-based data architecture across unclassified and classified enclaves that centralizes administrative data holdings across the FBI. This role enables advanced analytic capabilities and supports the development of alerts and analytics to proactively identify, triage, and visualize potential insider risks. The Data Engineer will leverage big data technologies, data science models, and cloud platforms such as Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, AWS OpenSearch, and Oracle/SQL based platforms to fulfill these responsibilities. Proficiency in Python, Microsoft VBA, and Databricks is required.Responsibilities:

Maintain a cloud-based data architecture across unclassified and classified enclaves to centralize administrative data holdings.

Develop data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software, facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing.

Utilize big data technologies and data science models to analyze large amounts of data and generate valuable insights.

Integrate third-party components and introduce new custom capabilities, while modifying existing code as necessary.

Recommend process improvements and automate operations and maintenance tasks.

Architect and utilize large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.

Implement Databricks and Lakehouse architectures for efficient data storage, processing, and analytics.

Utilize AWS OpenSearch for efficient data indexing, search, and retrieval.

Work with AWS, Splunk, Databricks, and other Oracle/SQL based platforms to integrate and analyze data.

Develop software components using Python, Microsoft VBA, and Databricks programming languages.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.

Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, big data analytics, and data science techniques.

Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and government representatives to communicate project updates, recommendations, and findings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Science, Education, Human Resources Development, Psychology, or other related disciplines.

Minimum of ten to twelve years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

Strong knowledge and experience with big data technologies, data science models, and cloud platforms.

Proficiency in Python, Microsoft VBA, and Databricks programming languages.

Experience with Databricks and Lakehouse architectures for data storage, processing, and analytics.

Familiarity with AWS OpenSearch for data indexing, search, and retrieval.

Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning algorithms.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications or advanced degrees in data engineering, big data analytics, or related fields are highly desirable.
