-Minimum 2 years of Heavy-Duty Truck systems experience, classes 6, 7 & 8.
-Understand and have knowledge of and run diagnostic tests on:
Paccar
Cummins
Volvo
CAT
International
Freightliner
Detroit Diesel
Ford
GM
-Knowledge of Electrical Diagnostic and computer systems.
-Perform the following items diesel trucks: Diagnose, Repair, Overhaul, etc.
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms to repair/replace such as but not limited to:
Air systems, ABS.
DEF, DPF, ERG systems, etc.
Transmission, Engine, Clutch and other associated parts.
All other chassis components.
Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
-Keep work area and shop clean and return tools to the designated locations.
-Work area cleaned at the end of each day
-Notate work performed so others can understand what has been completed.
-Perform in-depth inspection using appropriate tools for Trucks in a the allotted amount of time.
-Use care when working on customer vehicles.
-Clear communication with customers as necessary.
-Maintain records of all trucks serviced.
-Welding abilities for ARC, MIG and TIG are a plus.
-Willing to ask for help and learn if something is beyond their ability.
Safety
· Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
· Ensure that equipment is in safe and operating condition.
· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
· Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
