The Fishery restaurant is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager with a strong ability to support, lead, and inspire the our team.
Job Summary
Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with The Fishery's ethos. Responsible for all aspects of the restaurant, a manager is a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Accountable for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service. Must works weekends, openings, and/or closings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help to control purchases and inventory jointly with general manager and bar manager.
Taking corrective actions when needed.
Maintaining patron satisfaction by overseeing and guiding food, beverage, and service.
Initiating improvements alongside general manager and bar manager.
Building relationships with regulars and new patrons alike.
Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy working environment for staff and patrons.
Minimum Qualifications
o Be 21 years of age or older
o Five or more years of front-of-the-house operations and experience in a managerial role in the service or food and beverage industry
o Able to communicate clearly and follow directions
o Open to feedback and collaboration
o A genuine desire to be part of a winning team
o Excellent basic mathematical skills
o Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
o Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (entire shifts)
o Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
o Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends, and holidays
