Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the gas industry located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and involves processing invoices, auditing employee expense reports, and answering queries on the accounts payable help line, among other responsibilities. Responsibilities: Prepare invoices for processing and complete an overall review to ensure compliance with company policies Conduct audits of employee expense reports, verifying that signatures are in line with authorized approvals Prepare weekly check runs for payment of invoices and expenses Analyze invoices for use tax compliance to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and procedures Respond to internal and external queries on the accounts payable help line, providing accurate and timely information File departmental correspondence and checks, maintaining a systematic and reliable filing system Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, and Oracle Address additional responsibilities as requested or assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the role. Requirements Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Experienced in handling Check Runs Capable of Coding Invoices accurately and efficiently Proficient in Data Entry tasks Experienced in Invoice Processing Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks Familiar with Oracle financial software Must have a strong understanding of the Gas Industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong organizational and time management skills High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
