WOMEN HELPING WOMEN is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Lanai Program Coordinator
This position is summarized as follows:
To provide the community of Lanai with a full range of domestic violence advocacy services that includes individual advocacy, support groups, assistance preparing TROs and the coordination and provision of safe housing; and to support the overall program philosophy statement and policies of Women Helping Women.
Duties include maintaining office hours at the Lanai City facility, handling walk-ins and callers including those in crisis, providing in-person services to shelter residents, maintaining client files and activity logs, strengthening relationships with other service providers on island, conducting community outreach, and other assigned duties.
Position details include:
40 hours per week: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
$20.00 per hour; semi-monthly pay periods
position reports to Deputy Director
located at Women Helping Women's Lanai City facility
extensive ongoing training provided (during work hours)
benefits include: medical (choice of HMSA HMO, HMSA PPO or Kaiser HMO), dental (HDS), retirement account (403b plan with 3% WHW base contribution), generous PTO/paid time off (10 hours accrued twice a month, starting with first pay period) and holiday policy (all State holidays except election day).
Minimum requirements for this job include:
High School Diploma or GED
must be willing to undergo criminal history background check (including State/FBI fingerprinting) and child welfare services background check (only required after job offer is made, and not all results are barriers to employment; WHW does not do credit history checks)
