Restaurant/Bar Manager Wanted - busy East Village bar

Bar Manager wanted for busy East Village bar.

This role reports directly to owner, holds duties related to day to day operations of the bar, oversees staff and effectively manages issues. Main priorities of this role include (but are not limited to) to: increase sales through strategic planning, managing staff day-to-day operations, staff scheduling, orders & inventory, further building patron base, etc. Must be personable, able to problem solve by taking initiative to resolve issues, and maintaining an orderly bar by implementing policies and procedures. Craft beer and cocktail knowledge a plus. Must have DOH food handlers license or willing to get it immediately upon hire.

Responsibilities:

The position entails a need for extremely strong team leadership and strategy planning skills, excellent communication, ability to multi-task, ensures superior beverage & food quality and strong customer service skills

Conducts HR functions including hiring

Oversees scheduling and staff training

Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests and third party vendors

Works with the Chef and management team in creating beverage and food menus

Must have knowledge of Canva (to create posters), Social Media (to advertise our brand) and Microsoft Excel (to support back office functions)

Respond to inbound requests for parties in an extremely timely manner to facilitate parties with flawless execution
