LOOKING FOR 1ST AND 2ND CNC OPERATOR
General Position:
The CNC Machine Operator – Router sets up and operates various CNC Machines routing of wood and plastics material to supply operations within the Mill and other production areas.
Essential Functions:
Set up and operate CNC Machine- routing of wood and plastics
Alter G Code, feed rates, and spindle speeds at the machine
Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
Drive forklift to organize materials in the shop and pull for production
Keep track of raw materials and make sure inventory is ordered in time to be ran for production
Properly dispose of scrap
Able to make small adjustment in programs
Ability to read part prints
Perform small maintenance on machine
Periodic cleaning of machine of wood particles / dust
Follow all quality procedures and report any non-compliances observed.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
Keeps work area neat and organized at all times.
Willingness to learn new and improve current skills in an environment of continuous improvement.
Work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
Assures that personal productivity meets departmental demands.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
General maintenance of machine and minor repairs to equipment
Performs departmental duties, as needed.
Communicates information as appropriate.
Provides suggestions to improve quality and efficiency.
Keeps current on state of the art technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance and a high level of competency in use of company software as it relates to the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications:
Education: Must have High school diploma or equivalent in Associates Degree preferred.
Experience: Prefer 2 Years work experience in Manufacturing or Specific Education or Training. Prior CNC experience and training preferred.
License: None required.
Must be able to demonstrate mechanical ability (Read Drawings, Assemble Electrical & Mechanical Components, and Validate Quality)
Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience preferred.
Prior CNC programming or training in Inventor is a plus.
Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.
Proficient computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient organizational and time management skills required.
Physical Requirement and Work Environment:
Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis
Ability to lift/reach/bend/stretch in manufacturing environment
Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time on a daily basis
Periodically use phone, copier, and fax
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Mobility to effectively move and converse in all areas throughout the facility
Ability to handle and assemble small parts, requiring manual dexterity throughout the shift
Ability to operate hand tools weighing up to 10-20 lbs. on a repetitive basis throughout the shift
Ability to tolerate exposure to wood dust/products, lacquer, metal dust/products and metal processing products in a normal manufacturing environment
Work in hot and cold environment with seasonally changing temperatures
Training Requirements:
Must complete training plan to perform job requirements in a safe and consistent manner as specified by Quality Management System (QMS):
Employee Training will include the intended end use of the products
Must be available during production hours, Monday through Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00 pm or 4:00pm to 2:30am; or Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 2:00 pm; schedule is subject to change based on company needs. Additional overtime hours may be required.
