Job description

The Assistant Executive Director will play a pivotal role in the organization's management and leadership. This role is instrumental in driving strategic initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the stability and growth of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Executive Director in developing and implementing strategic plans to advance the organization's mission and objectives.

Act as a decision-maker in critical matters, demonstrating sound judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Oversee day-to-day operations of all programs and departments, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Maintain all Program Files and Quality Control in the absence of the Executive Director.

Lead and supervise department heads, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Ensures organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's financial functions.

Attend regular meetings with the Executive Director for programming changes.

Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other networking events, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, partners, and industry professionals.

Manage hiring and termination processes, including recruitment, selection, on-boarding, and performance evaluations.

Ensure that approval is received from DBHDS (Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services) before implementing or making changes requiring licensing.

Ensure all compliancewith individual rights, investigate incidents, monitor for safety, hire and terminate staff with recommendation from Program Directors and serve as liaison in the community.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredit college university, in lieu of degree any combination of college and experience is acceptable

Minimum of 5 years knowledge of intellectually disabled, mental illness and related physical, health and behavioral problems.

Possess strong supervision skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, community and staff

Investigative and Interviewing skills

Ability to analyze findings, identify problems and formulate solutions.

Experience working with adults with disabilities.

Caring and positive attitude.

Ability to maintain a stable environment and to provide guidance to adults.

Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to unpredictable behaviors and circumstances.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000-$70,000 per year

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Experience: Senior Level Management; 5 years (Preferred)
